In adults with acute kidney injury requiring RRT, this trial compared intermittent hemodialysis with continuous RRT. The assigned modality was maintained through day 3, with switching allowed from day 4 onward. The primary outcome was MAKE-90: death, RRT dependence, or creatinine >25% above baseline at 90 days.
