Medical education has undergone dramatic changes with the COVID-19 pandemic. More teaching is done remotely, and social media skills are becoming mainstream medical education skills. This session addresses blogging, podcasting, advocacy, and misinformation in the era of social media. Increasingly needed for effective communication, these skills are also necessary to keep nephrology at the forefront of advances and to attract talent.

NephJC is an online journal club hosted twice a month and used by nephrologists around the world. A third of fellows describe using NephJC as a study source, and more than 40% of users rank it "very effective." This session brings some of the magic of NephJC to ASN Kidney Week. Presenters review the highest-impact medical literature in nephrology, drawing from recent publications and dissecting the research questions and methods of each study.
